Weekends with the Ruff's

So the last couple of weekends have been busy and a lot of fun for us. Brian and I are so addicted to Brooklyn's love and personality and we enjoy taking her out and doing things with her now. She is at the age where she is interested in everything and she really listens and sometimes actually understands us. She keeps us laughing all the time. I really don't know where are funny personality comes from. Brian and I are amazed every day that we made such a special little person. Just tonight we were getting her ready for bed and she started saying, "Dance, Dance mommy." I got up and she wanted to hold my hands and dance with me. No music, just us dancing. It was the sweetest thing and she laughed the whole time. You can tell that when we spend time with her, she is the happiest person on Earth. She loves for us all to sit down on the floor and play together, except it usually turns into Brian and I laughing so hard at her because she is so silly.

I could go on how in love we are with our child (which I am sure every parent knows what we are talking about). She just brings us such joy and fills our lives with happiness.

On with the blog.........

So our weekends. Last weekend we went to Aunt Molly's stockshow at the Ft. Worth stockyards and we had a blast. This year was the first year Brooklyn actually knew what a cow was and what they said. So it was fun to watch her explor new things.

After a fun weekend at the stockyards, Brooklyn took a little fall at the babysitters house. When she fell, she fell off of another toy onto another one and it hit her in the mouth. Wasn't a big deal till we got home and I examined her a little bit and noticed some bruising on the back of her gums. Kind of paniced a little bit and didn't know if she was going to loose her teeth or if they came loose so my mom put a call into a friend of hers and they told us to take her by a recommended pediatric dentist and let them look at her. So on to our first dentist appointment she went. I was not there to experience it with her because I was called to sub for the first time ever, so I asked my mom to take her and take lots of pictures. If any of you guys need a pediatric dentist, this one was highly recommended and my mom loved the lady!!!! I don't think Brooklyn had a good time....:-)

To finish out her week, the Elliott's and the Ruff's decided that we wanted to do something fun for the kiddos instead of doing something for us. We are always going out to eat where the kids can't play with anything or we have to wait FOREVER to get seated because we have 3 toddlers and 4 adults. So this weekend we decided to take the kids and the boys (Brian and Chuck) to Chuck E Cheese. Wow!!!!!! Don't go on a Friday or Saturday night. Big mistake. Kids everywhere and screaming, birthday parties go on all around us, it was nuts. But fun and something new we haven't done with the kids.

And, a match made in heaven!!!!!!!!!

Just A Little of Everything

I haven't blogged in awhile. We have been extremely busy the last couple of weeks and I am not sure what happened. Brian and I were talking yesterday about how we make a commitment to go to a financial class every Sunday at our church because we were always open on Sunday afternoons. We would usually go out for lunch and then go home and rest the whole day. Well, since we made a commitment to attend this class, everything starts popping up!!!

We were supposed to go for the first class last week. If you know Brian and his family, they are avid Cowboys fans and like we were going to miss seeing the game for the financial class, heck no!!! Plus, we were having them over to celebrate Brian's birthday too.

Brian picked out this cake and decided that we should have a themed birthday party for him & since we were watching the game, we decided to go with the Cowboys. It was really fun and we were laughing in the store the night before because it was like we were 4 years old again picking out all the decorations and things for a birthday party. :-)

Sometime during that week we had the Brandt kids over for 2 nights while mommy and daddy had to work and go to the academy. We enjoyed having them at our house and I know Brooklyn did too. She actually adopted Lucas as her "bubba" too. She would hear Hallie call him bubba and so Brooklyn just followed along. Lucas on the other hand would tell Brooklyn, "I am not your bubba, I am LUCAS!!!!" hahahahahahahaha. It was so funny and Brooklyn would call him Lucas for about 2 minutes and then she was right back calling him bubba.

Lucas cleaned and vaccumed the whole time he was at my house. I am not sure if he thought my house needed to be clean or if his mommy and daddy make him clean all the time....hahahahaha just kidding Rakel and Justin. :-) No, Brooklyn got a vaccumm for Christmas and it actually vaccums. So he loved it.

Hallie enjoying her popsicle.

One night during the time that we had the Brandt kids, was on a Friday night and it was the Friday after Brian's birthday and we have a tradition in our family that we go to Cheesecake Factory on the weekend following your birthday. We thought about waiting till that Saturday night to go since the Brandt kids wouldn't be here (plus, Chuck and Blaine Elliott and their two boys were going with us so that would be 5 little toddlers eating at Cheesecake) but seeing that the Brandt kids were not trouble for me at all, we decided that we would take them with us. I mean, we are planning on having 3 kids one day, is that going to stop us from going out to eat? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Little did we know we were going to have to wait for 2 hours, my dad talking to the manager about how ridiculous it was, & it was 8 and the kids were all hungry. Lots of fun, huh? So we sat them all down on the floor and ate snacks and played little games with them to try and pass the time. Didn't bother Lucas, he was still trying to love on the girls.

We decided on the last morning that I had the kids, we would take them to the Ft. Worth stockyard parade that is non-motorized. It is all done with horses. It was a lot of fun but it was very cold!!!!!!!! The A&M Corp of Cadets were even there!!!!

We tried to get to the rodea Sunday but it was all sold out. We were up there with my little sister, Molly, stockshow. She shows cows for the FFA and was up there doing all of her FFA stuff and we just thought we would make a day of it and go to the rodeo that night, didn't quite work out that way. So we are going to try for another weekend to do that.

Brian is doing really good at his new office. He loves the area and seems to be having more success with door knocking than what he was in Cedar Hill. He hates the drive though. I wish there was a solution to this problem but unfortunately we have to wait till we sale our house to be able to move over there. But he loves it!

Also, I know I sent out an email last week asking for prayers for the Gerwer Quads. They are still needing your prayers. If you look at our links on the right, their's is the one named Gerwer Quads. This family had a lot of trouble getting pregnant and had to go through some tough times with this pregnancy. She delivered and the babies are doing really good and fighting on their own but mom and dad have to leave the hospital without their miracles. Mom went through some trauma after giving birth as well. You can read all about it in their blog. I just wanted to reach out to everyone who checks on us to ask you to send some prayers up for them. They will need it for awhile until the babies have the strength to be on their own and get to go home. So please pray for them.

Our House is on the market!!!

Ok guys, we need your help!!!!

I have added a link to our house. Brian and I thought we would try to do some advertising on our own to get our house sold. So we created a blog for our house so that you can tell your friends or whoever to go there and you can see all the pictures you want of the house. I am sure our blog is a little more in depth (picture wise) than the Ebby Halliday site is but use the ebby site to look at sizes and square footage and everything.

Spread the word!!!!!!

The blog link is under "our links we love to look at" and it is named A HOUSE FOR SALE!!!!! But if you want to give the address to someone it is www.ruffhomeforsale.blogspot.com.

God truly does answer prayers!!!!!

Well, for those of you who don't know, WE ARE MOVING TO FT. WORTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There has been an Edward Jones office open in Ft. Worth for about 7 weeks and Brian and I have been kicking around the idea of taking it and moving and starting a new chapter in our lives. We seriously talked about it last week, went to take a look at it, meet the assistant out there (yes, Brian officially has an assistant), and take a look around at the neighborhoods and houses around to see if we could actually live out there. We feel in love with the area. Our house, his office, and maybe Brooklyn's daycare are all within 2 to 3 miles of each other. Brian put the phone call in to Corporate and told them that he was interested and wanted to know the process that he needed to start in getting the office.

So, he took on the process and contacted all the right people but we didn't hear anything back from anyone on Friday. Come Monday morning of course we are bitting our nails and getting anxious to know if there had been in progress on Brian putting his name in for the office. Well, to make a long story short, by Monday afternoon Brian was offered the office and gladly accepted it and they wanted him to start Tuesday, not the next weel Tuesday but the next day!!!!!!

Brian and I have had a long road to travel down to get our marriage back on track. We have prayed every day, every night to give us strength to fight through every bad road we have turned down and to learn to forgive and move on and make the best out of everything. When Brian started mentioning being a little interested in the Ft. Worth office, we talked and thought it would be a good move for us. We have started over in our marriage and we thought it would be good for us to start a fresh chapter in our lives "together."

We are very excited to see what this new chapter of our lives brings us. We have been praying since we found out that he has the office about if this is the Lord calling us to do something with our lives and if this is the directions He wants us to take and we can not ignore the signs that He has given us in this journey. Everything is falling right into place. I continue on a daily basis praying and thanking Him for what He is opening up for us and not taking anything for granted and making sure that we are going in the right directions and to continue my faith through this whole relocating. I know there are going to come some very difficult and trying times through this process (for example: selling our house!!!!!) and I pray that I will focus on God and know that we are doing what is best for our family and pray that we don't question God about anything that might go wrong.

Please pray for us and think about us through this whole ordeal. It is scary thinking that we are uprooting our child, taking her away from the best babysitter in the world, and moving to a place that we are not fimiliar with and try to make a life for ourselves out there. I just keep thinking that we are bettering our lives by doing this. I hope that made sense!!! hahahahahaha
